What is FosterFlash?
FosterFlash proposes a way for an authorized organization to turn a narrow animal need into a supported, time-bounded action and verified closure. It is not an automated placement service.
A few hours, one night, or one weekend can matter
The proposed commitment ladder starts with a supervised ShelterBreak outing, then an overnight, weekend, bridge foster, or specialized foster—each only with partner approval and defined support.
- Clear pickup, return, and extension process
- Human approval for qualification and placement
- Current instructions, restrictions, supplies, and emergency contacts
- No silent extension beyond the approved period
Pilot boundaries
The first pilot would focus on shelter-owned dogs approved for public short stays or outings. It excludes cases requiring clinical decisions, unreliable status, unauthorized media, or uncommunicable risk.
