Shelters and rescues retain authority over animal facts, medical information, eligibility, safety requirements, foster approval, placement, return, extensions, adoption conversion, and final outcomes. Housing operators retain authority over leases, property rules, insurance requirements, fee treatment, and temporary-animal permission.

• Qualified professionals retain authority over veterinary care, behavioral evaluation, legal advice, insurance interpretation, and emergency response.
• The Underdog ADVNTR does not override these authorities.

The site does not promise response times or maintain a universal emergency directory.
